Adafruit projects and devices

Adafruit hardware in Flashable spans six interface patterns: Fruit Jam for integrated display-and-keyboard projects, Metro RP2350 for Arduino-shaped GPIO, HSTX video and USB-host experiments, MacroPad for USB hotkeys, PyPortal for Wi-Fi touch displays, CLUE for onboard sensing, and Feather ESP32-S3 TFT for compact connected prototypes. Metro product 6003 has no PSRAM and its Breakout build needs separate video and USB-host hardware; Fruit Jam integrates those desktop interfaces but still needs external peripherals. Choose PyPortal when a touchscreen is central, CLUE when sensors matter, MacroPad for focused mechanical controls, Metro for expandable RP2350 work, or Feather when battery support and STEMMA QT matter most. Follow each device into original project sources, compatible firmware and practical guides.

Your first CircuitPython display gadget

For the quickest connected dashboard, choose PyPortal; for a sensor-rich offline display, choose CLUE; for a compact Wi-Fi/Bluetooth project you will package yourself, choose Feather ESP32-S3 TFT. Install the board-specific CircuitPython build, copy only compatible libraries, render a static screen first, and add networking after the local loop is stable.

Start by mapping twelve repetitive, reversible actions, then implement one application profile with CircuitPython HID and use the encoder for a continuous control such as volume or timeline movement.
