Retro computing recreates an older machine on modern, unusual hardware. Probably Average Computer Emulator has a PicoVision frontend that emulates an early PC/XT-class system, outputs CGA video, accepts USB HID keyboard and mouse input, and loads one hard-disk image named hd0.img from microSD. Unlike PicoVision’s general graphics examples, this is a compiled emulator built with the Pico SDK and Pimoroni libraries. It does not ship the required XT-compatible BIOS or software images, and PicoVision support is limited to a single hard disk. Consult the project’s tested dependency revision, supply only lawfully obtained BIOS and disk content, and keep backups because emulator compatibility is necessarily incomplete.
