Flashable is designed to collect as little personal data as practical.

Browsing

The hosting provider and content delivery network may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamps for delivery, security and abuse prevention. Flashable may use privacy-conscious aggregate analytics that do not create advertising profiles.

Submissions and corrections

The intake form stores the fields you submit, its timestamp and an editorial status in Flashable’s database. A contact email is optional and is not published. To prevent automated abuse, the form also uses short-lived hourly rate-limit buckets keyed by a salted hash of connection information; Flashable does not store the raw address in those buckets, and expired buckets are removed during later submission attempts. We use submissions to assess leads, respond when needed and maintain an editorial record. Do not send secrets, private credentials or material you do not have permission to share.

Outbound links

Manufacturer, retailer and project sites have their own privacy practices. Opening an external link makes a request to that third party.

To request deletion or correction of personal information in a submission, email hello@flashable.dev with enough detail to locate it.
