Why it belongs on the bench

M5Stack Core2 is a stackable ESP32 controller built around a two-inch capacitive touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, battery, IMU, speaker, microphone and Grove-compatible expansion. Its screen and modular base system fit catalogue projects that need an expressive face, local controls or physical movement, including M5Stack-Avatar and the servo-driven Stack-chan robot; it can also run the supported M5Stack Launcher. Core2 is not interchangeable with every newer Core model. Stack-chan’s convenient installer defaults to CoreS3-oriented hardware, and some Core2-plus-servo combinations require a source build and a matching case and servo assembly.
