Shrike-lite projects and builds
Open-source RP2040 and 1,120-LUT ForgeFPGA development board with a six-bit MCU–FPGA link, PMOD connector, breadboard-friendly GPIO and USB-C.

Why it belongs on the bench
Vicharak Shrike-lite combines a Raspberry Pi RP2040 with a Renesas ForgeFPGA SLG47910V containing 1,120 lookup tables. A six-bit MCU–FPGA link lets the RP2040 load and coordinate custom logic, while 4 MB QSPI flash, breadboard-compatible headers, a 3.3 V PMOD connector, two user LEDs and USB-C support small hardware/software co-design experiments. Vicharak documents Arduino, MicroPython and CircuitPython for the microcontroller side and Verilog through the FPGA workflow. Select the Shrike-lite firmware rather than the RP2350 Shrike or ESP32-S3 Shrike-fi image. All GPIO is 3.3 V only. The hardware guide also warns against powering USB-C and the 5 V header at the same time. The official store listed the single board in stock at US$4 on 2026-08-23, before shipping.
