Why it belongs on the bench
PINE64 PineTime is an open smartwatch built around an nRF52832, a 1.3-inch 240×240 capacitive touchscreen, Bluetooth LE, accelerometer, heart-rate sensor, vibration motor and external flash. It suits the catalogue’s InfiniTime and wasp-os firmware projects for watch faces, notifications, sensors and hackable wearable applications. The sealed retail watch is a poor choice for risky low-level development because it does not expose the recovery-friendly debug interface; PINE64 recommends the development kit for that work and disclaims devices bricked by flashing. The product page also advises against showering or swimming with the watch.
